About Vaco & Mercedes-Benz
Vaco started working on Mercedes-Benz as a young apprentice technician in 1966, the year The Beatles released their milestone album "Revolver".
He worked his way up to become a full-fledged technician while working all over the United States. He finally settled in sunny Los Angeles, California, to work as shop foreman for Mercedes-Benz of North America (MBNA). While at MBNA for over 11 rewarding years, he trained countless young technicians, many of whom continue to work as shop foremen in Los Angeles area dealerships.
Since 1985, he has operated Vaco Precision Inc., his own independent repair facility in Hollywood, California, providing complete service & repair, plus body & paint, for Mercedes-Benz automobiles.
With a keen interest for perfection, Vaco has attended all technical training available to him, including two weeks in Stuttgart, Germany, the home of Mercedes-Benz. He continues his training in many areas of auto service & repair to this day.
Determined not to duplicate the costly mistakes of so many dealerships and independent shops, Vaco is committed to delivering personal attention to every customer.
Vaco has been fortunate to enjoy the confidence of thousands of clients over the years, including many celebrities, notably, the late George Harrison, Tommy Lasorda, James Worthy, Shari Belafonte, Lily Tomlin, Connie Sellecca, John Tesh, Basil Hoffman, drummer Jim Keltner, and Billy Dee Williams, to name just a few.
